For feasibility requests, the Data Core assists investigators in obtaining preliminary patient counts for grant applications, site visit number information, hypothesis generation, and/or recruitment assessments. Generally, these numbers are generated using information within the Indiana Network of Patient Care at the Regenstrief Institute.
Fill out the Feasibility Request Form.
- Inclusion/exclusion criteria
- Institutions of interest – don’t know the institutions from which you’d like to receive data? That’s okay! The data analyst assigned to your request will assist in determining the institutions applicable to your needs.
- Relevant diagnosis or procedure codes (e.g. ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT code)
It is also helpful to include your research goals (e.g. patient recruitment). The data analyst will be in contact with you to confirm and clarify the details of your feasibility request.
Feasibility counts are generally provided within 7 to 10 business days.
Data analysts use a set template for feasibility requests. Within the template, counts are provided in summary format. Numbers less than 10 will be indicated as <10.
Feasibility requests will be emailed to you by the data analyst.
Feasibility data can be used for grant applications, information for pharmaceutical studies, and hypothesis generation. Feasibility data cannot be used for publications or presentations, or to compare institutions unless express permission is received from Regenstrief Institute to do so.
Feasibility data come from the Indiana Network for Patient Care and may include data from (but not limited to) Eskenazi Health, IU Health, St. Vincent, St. Francis, and Community. If you have other institutions that you are interested in receiving data from, you can include them on the feasibility request form or discuss with a data analyst.
Feasibility requests are a no-cost service provided by the Data Core and funded by the Indiana CTSI.
