Notre Dame Professor Wins Indiana CTSI Pilot Grant To Study Cancer
A University of Notre Dame investigator was recently awarded an Indiana CTSI Pilot Funding for Research Use of Core Facilities grant to study the secondary development of cancerous growths in the brain. Siyuan Zhang, Nancy Dee Assistant Professor of Cancer Research, assistant professor of biological sciences and an affiliated member of Harper Cancer Research Institute at Notre Dame, plans to use a technique called single-cell sequencing to study the many different types of cells in the brain individually.
