Why is this study being done? The purpose of this study is to image the brain using MRI. The brain naturally changes with age, but the causes behind these changes are largely unknown. We are developing new imaging technology to early detect small changes in the brain. The goal of our study is to increase our understanding of how the brain – specifically, its CSF flow dynamic – naturally changes with age. If proven successful, the new imaging tool can help early diagnose Alzheimer’s disease. Who can take part in this study?Healthy adults, ages 35 and older older, who do not have a history of neurodegenerative disorder, chemotherapy or radiation therapy, or previous brain surgery.

This study will provide the most accurate and reliable estimates to date on disease progression and clinical events in evolving chronic pancreatitis. We also hope to develop from the results of this study some lab tests that will help us with early diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis and also to discover any genetic factors that may affect your chances of developing chronic pancreatitis. The results of this study may also provide information that will open opportunities for new drug discovery.

All genders
What is the purpose of this study?Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is the most common cause of liver disease in the US.  Having type 2 diabetes is a known a risk factor for developing NAFLD and people who have NAFLD with diabetes are also at an increased risk of developing liver cirrhosis (severe scarring of the liver).  The purpose of this study is to assess the prevalence of NAFLD in people with known type 1 or type 2 diabetes mellitus or insulin resistance. THIS STUDY IS ENROLLING BY INVITATION ONLY - Prospective participants will be gleaned from the list of patients to be seen in the Endocrinology clinic and will be called prior to their appointment. Additionally, prospective participants will be mailed/emailed a letter describing the study and inviting study participation.

Does your child say sentences that are short, and have missing words or mistakes (such as "Where him go?", "Her like candy")Is your child hard to understand because they can't pronounce some sounds? Do they receive speech therapy now?Does your child have trouble following directions?Study participation involves your child attending in-person study visits to the Purdue SLHS Research Lab in Indianapolis, IN.Compensation will be provided.

ARE YOU A CARE PARTNER WHO IS SUPPORTING YOUR FAMILY MEMBER OR LOVED ONE WHO IS EXPERIENCING MILD COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT?  Join Our Study!   Researchers at the Indiana University School of Nursing are looking for adults with mild cognitive impairment and their care partners or their loved ones to take part in a study comparing two programs to find out the best way to help adults with mild cognitive impairment and their study partners to support each other to engage in meaningful activities and cope with memory problems.   “Mild cognitive impairment causes cognitive changes that are serious enough to be noticed to the person affected and to family members and friends, but do not affect the individual’s ability to carry out everyday activities.” (www.alz.org)   This study is funded by the National Institute of Nursing Research at the National Institutes of Health.   Your participation will help researchers to gain a better understanding of how well this program works to increase health benefits.
